And can be expected, given the current adversarial state of the GOP, the RNC has phrased every question to be "you're either with us or you are against us, you bloody communist." Since demagoguery can be difficult to parse, I took the liberty of rewriting a couple questions for clarity's sake.
1. Do you agree with Barack Obama's budget plan that will lead to a $23.1 trillion deficit over the next ten years?
Did you agree with the Bush budget plan that doubled the national deficit over eight years?
2. Do you believe the federal government has gone too far in bailing out failing banks, insurance companies and the auto industry?
Do you believe that the federal government should have left the banks, insurance companies, and the US auto industry to fail?

3. Do you support amnesty for illegal immigrants?
4. Should English be the official language of the United States?
Should Wampanoag be the official language of the United States?
5. Are you in favor of granting retroactive Social Security eligibility to illegal immigrants who gain U.S. citizenship through an amnesty program?
6. Are you in favor of the expanded welfare benefits and unlimited eligibility (no time, education, or work requirements) that Democrats in Congress are pushing to pass?
7. Do you believe that Barack Obama's nominees for federal courts should be immediately and unquestionably approved for their lifetime appointments by the U.S. Senate?
Do you believe that Barack Obama's nominees should be treated the same way that George W. Bush's nominees for federal courts were treated?
8. Do you believe that the best way to increase the quality and effectiveness of public education in the U.S. is to rapidly expand federal funding while eliminating performance standards and accountability?
9. Do you support he creation of a national health insurance plan that would be administered by the bureaucrats in Washington, D.C.?
Do you support Medicare?
10. Do you believe that the quality and availability of healthcare will increase if the federal government dictates pricing to doctors and hospitals?
Do you support Medicare?
11. Are you confident that new medicines and medical treatments will continue to be developed if the federal government controls prescription drug prices and sets profit margins for research and pharmaceutical companies?
Do you support reducing health care costs?
12. Are you in favor of creating a government-funded "Citizen Volunteer Corps" that would pay young people to do work now done by churches and charities, earning Corps Members the same pay and benefits given to military veterans?
Are you in favor of creating a government-funded "Citizen Volunteer Corps" that was introduced by George W. Bush in his State of the Union address in 2007?
13. Are you in favor of reinstituting the military draft, as Democrats in Congress have proposed?
Are you in favor of the "stop-loss" policy as authorized by the Bush administration?
14. Do you believe that the federal government should allow the unionization of Department of Homeland Security employees who serve in positions critical to the safety and security of our nation?
Do you believe that the federal government should allow the unionization of police, fire, and emergency response personnel?
15. Do you support Democrats' drive to eliminate workers' right to a private ballot when considering unionization of their place of employment?

I am watching the X-Files: I Want to Believe movie right now. I didn't plan on watching it but as I was channel surfing after watching th NL lose to the AL - AGAIN - in the All-Star game. I really liked the X-Files. And I was skeptical that they could bring back the magic. A healthy dose of suspension of disbelief has always been necessary for all X-Files episodes. But I have to say that it hasn't started optimistically. Scully is/was a pathologist. Probably did surgery too since she's so handy with a scalpel on live people
But since when did she do a pediatric residency? Or a family medicine? Or neurology? Or medical genetics? What's she doing treating children? And intrathecal stem cell transplant?
Sheesh.
And while it was good xfiley, uh, I'm glad I took my suspension of disbelief pill.
